Baby Massage

What is Baby Massage?

Baby massage is a relaxing activity to do with your baby that has many potential benefits. It is an ancient art used in many diverse cultures to help with a variety of physical and emotional needs and to promote relaxation. You will be giving your baby the skin contact they crave and using it to communicate security, trust and love to your baby. All parents and carers can easily learn the skills to enable you to give your baby a relaxing and special massage.

Bev is a very experienced baby massage instructor, registered with The Guild of Infant and Child Massage, and has taught baby massage in a variety of ways to suit individual needs. These have included running funded and private classes in children’s centres and individual tuition. She is also available for her popular small group teaching in homes. If you have a group of friends who would like to learn together then please contact to enquire about her special rates.

Benefits to baby massage include:

^

Helping to create and develop the bond between you and your baby

^

Enabling both of you to relax together. This can lead to your baby settling easier and better sleep for both of you.

^

Helping to relieve colic, wind, constipation, teething and much more

^

Supporting your baby’s physical, emotional and social development, including their communication skills and interaction with you and each other.

Baby massage classes are also a great way to meet other parents in a relaxed environment and find out about all of the support available to you as new parents.

Classes

Bev currently runs a popular baby massage class at Cadbury House, Congresbury and Bella Vista Hotel, Weston-super-Mare. To reserve a place or for more details please contact Bev directly. Classes are very relaxed and you are encouraged to go at the pace of your baby. If he or she doesn’t feel like a massage one week then we go with the baby’s needs and make sure that you know how to practice the moves at home. As the course progresses we look at building the massage into your own baby’s routine in a way that works for you.
